Getting back into movement in spite of Covid-19 is the core message of the European Mile. And now, we are happy to announce that every European Mile event and every registered mile that Europeans run, walk or roll in 2021 will contribute towards getting more children across Europe active every day.

This is because ISCA and The Daily Mile Foundation have agreed to join forces in 2021: The more events and miles that are completed and registered on the European Mile website, the bigger the cash donation ISCA will make to the Daily Mile Foundation (up to 10,000 euro).

The Daily Mile is a free and simple children’s health initiative that involves nursery and primary school children running or jogging for 15 minutes every day. The successful initiative originates from the UK and is now expanding across Europe to make even more children active every day.

“We are extremely pleased to join forces with ISCA and the European Mile,” Elaine Wyllie (pictured above), the founder of The Daily Mile, says. “With this collaboration, we will reach even more school children in even more European countries, and enable them to develop a healthy habit as well as experiencing the joy of movement!”

“This partnership with The Daily Mile Foundation is significant for ISCA,” says ISCA President Mogens Kirkeby. “With the European Mile, we want to raise awareness and enable the activation of European citizens through flagship events and communications campaigns. And partnering with The Daily Mile Foundation complements our efforts perfectly, because they focus on the day-to-day activation of children across Europe. As part of the agreement between The European Mile and The Daily Mile, the two initiatives will collaborate across all engaged European countries, cross-promote the initiatives, and boost the Donate Your Mile opportunity, which is now open and can be accessed here.
