Welcome to the MOVE Congress 2012: YES the sport for all sector can do it!

Two weeks ahead of the first ever MOVE Congress organised outside Europe, we are delighted to share with you our vision for an event which we do already consider as full of promises.

Our objective is as simple as it is ambitious: assessing what’s going on and shaping a healthier future through Sport for All (SFA).

Indeed the upcoming World Cup, Olympic and Paralympic Games are part of the inspiration of MOVE Congress 2012 where we intend to debate and outline strategies to act before difficulties, challenges and different opportunities that arise in our sector.

Opportunities to be elaborated include resource mobilization and allocation, partnerships and best practices to enable best results for the benefit of society.

The world may currently face a strong economic crisis but we want to encourage you to think again and think positively while grabbing new opportunities. Coming from the four corners of the earth, prestigious speakers will represent the wide variety of cultures, backgrounds and organisations which made the world such a great as well as challenging and interesting place to live in! You will for sure be challenged and inspired by their stories and own experiences.

As Robert Louis Stevenson (Scottish novelist, essayist, and travel writer) stated, “Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds you plant”. Let’s all together find out new pathways to develop access to sport for all.

We want to look with you into the future and all together get ready for it. We need you to participate, we expect your active contribution and will offer you innovative and energetic room for you to do so.

In fact we need you to be here to make your voice heard, to share your ideas and to shape a healthier future. We are all part of the strong sport for all network. By sharing, giving and listening, let’s all together seed the plant for using sport for all as a driving force for our present and future society!

Looking forward to welcome you in São Paulo.

Mogens Kirkeby, ISCA President
