MOVE WEEK 2012 kick-off

MOVE WEEK PREPARATIONS HAVE STARTED

20 of ISCA’s European members organizations gathered in Berlin to prepare the MOVE Week 2012. These key stakeholders discussed strategies on how to involve local members and clubs in their respective country during the European Week of Sport and Physical Activity and beyond.

The first edition of the MOVE Week will take place in the first week of October 2012. During the 2nd and 3rd July partner organizations discussed marketing tools and planed several physical activity promotional events that will happen between 1st and 7th October. ISCA member organisations present in Berlin expressed their readiness and excitement to implement the first edition of the MOVE WEEK across Europe.

ISCA member, the Slovakian Association of Sport for All was pleased to present its MOVE WEEK program, which was very inspiring and well received by other ISCA members. Dagmar Nemcek shared that ASPV will organise multiple events, including a swimming relay, a walking day and health performance testing, being part of the MOVE Week activities for Slovakia.

The MOVE WEEK 2012 is an open platform for commitments. The 2012 edition will be held under the motto ‘100 MILLION MORE EUROPEANS ACTIVE IN SPORT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY BY 2020’ and promote the positive impacts of physical activity on our local communities. Sports organisations, institutions, local clubs and cities can register activities to under the European Week of Sport and Physical Activity.
