Message from France Education International

The IDI4Sport project, a collaborative effort spanning six European countries—Denmark, France, Greece, North Macedonia, Portugal and Spain—is proud to announce its final stage. The project is now in the process of completing its evaluation and will enter a year of dissemination activities. At the heart of this initiative are several months of testing inclusive sports such as sitting volleyball, goalball, and boccia, where people of all abilities practice together. These activities have proven to enhance confidence and promote inclusion among participants.

In this final phase, we are focused on evaluating the impact of these practices and gathering valuable feedback from teachers, coaches, and participants. Each partner is collecting assessments, completing questionnaires, and organising focus groups. Experts, including coaches and sport teachers, will share their insights, helping us refine the tools and resources developed throughout the project to ensure they meet the diverse needs of communities across Europe.

Stay tuned as we prepare to share the results and insights from this transformative project, which is paving the way for a more inclusive future through sport.

Be an IDI4SPORT ambassador

The project enters its final phase starting in January, with a special focus on dissemination. The consortium is developing a special approach to reach as broad an audience as possible. The team will develop a comprehensive communication strategy to share the outcomes of the IDI4SPORT project.

As part of this strategy, six events will be held in 2025, one in each participating country, along with a final international conference in North Macedonia in October 2025 that will serve as the culmination of the project. This final conference will be the occasion to showcase the results of the project and to learn more about inclusion in and through sport. We hope to see many of you there!

Additionally, dissemination actions will be carried out at both national and European levels through various channels. To achieve this, your support, dear reader, will be crucial. We count on you as an ambassador for the project within your organisation, country, or professional network to ensure that the project, along with the information and tools developed within its framework, reaches as many individuals and stakeholders as possible, maximising its impact.

IDI4SPORT in the Spanish public television

IDI4SPORT results and achievements are spreading across Europe. The project took its first step on Spanish television. TELEMADRID, the public television channel of the Madrid region, aired a report on one of the project activities that took place at the Fundación a la PAR in Madrid. You can watch it via the following link (at approximately minute 2:07). The video report will also soon be broadcast on Spanish national television.

“How can we be active together in Europe?”

In our last newsletter, we shared the exciting news about a public event organised by our French partners, France Education international (FEI) and the French National Institute for Inclusive Education (INSEI), during the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games on July 30. The day was packed with inspiring moments, starting with two round table discussions on the project and the role of major sporting events as a catalyst for making sports accessible to all across Europe. The afternoon brought the concept to life, featuring engaging activities focused on inclusive sports practices. You can now relive this memorable day through a video available on France Education international’s YouTube channel. It also features exclusive interviews with our project members and insights into how we’ve collaborated to champion sport for all. Don’t miss it!

Consortium meeting in Madrid – 11 to 13 March

The consortium members are thrilled to announce their next meeting in Madrid in March 2025, marking the 4th gathering of the IDI4SPORT team. A special thanks to the España se Mueve team for welcoming us!

This meeting will focus on the final stage of the project, discussing important topics such as evaluation, communication strategies, the upcoming final conference in Skopje, the significance of being part of the Generation 2030 label, and the long-term legacy of the project.
