MOVE Week 2025 concluded on 1 June following seven vibrant days of recreational physical activity across Europe and beyond. From 26 May to 1 June, over 580 events were registered across 20 countries. We’re still counting, so the final tally of events and participants is not yet available.

In the Czech Republic alone, 128 events took place in approximately 20 locations nationwide. Organised by the grassroots sports organisation Czech Sokol, activities ranged from open training sessions and community walks to cycling races, children's days, and introductory classes.

In Bosnia-Herzegovina a children's race (Monte Kids Festival) was organised by the Kinezis sports association, while in Athens and Lesvos a volleyball tournament for refugees was organised by Yoga and Sport with Refugees.  Most events welcomed both seasoned participants and newcomers eager to try something new.

MOVE for Mental Wellbeing

This year's overarching theme was #MentalWellbeing, highlighting the positive impact of regular physical activity on mental health. Participants were introduced to the "ABCs of Mental Health" encouraging everyone to Act, Belong and Commit, and "Mental Health Vitamins" - Rest, Move, Feel, Eat, and Socialise - both designed to promote emotional resilience and overall wellbeing.

Both the ABCs of Mental Health and the Mental Health Vitamins focus on simple, daily actions that help people find meaning in their lives, feel a sense of belonging and connection with others, and stay physically active. These everyday actions remain important even after MOVE Week.

Social media buzzed with photos and stories shared under hashtags such as #MOVEWeek, #ABCMentalHealth, and #MentalHealthVitamins, amplifying the campaign's message and encouraging broader participation.

Held annually during the last week of May (September in Latin America), MOVE Week is a flagship event of the NowWeMOVE campaign, coordinated by the ISCA. It aims to inspire individuals to embrace active lifestyles and explore new forms of movement for both physical and mental health.
