Today marks the start of the 14th edition of #MOVEWeek, with over 450 events registered across 16 countries on www.moveweek.eu. This year’s theme is #MentalWellbeing.
MOVE Week 2025 is a celebration of recreational physical activity for everyone. Last year, Udruga Zdrav Život Kinezis got many people moving with a children’s run, student activities, and a fun fitness challenge. We can’t wait to see what this year brings from around the world!
This year’s focus is on mental wellbeing. Grassroots sports and recreational physical activity benefit not only your physical health but also your mental wellbeing.
With 46% of Europeans experiencing mental health challenges and 45% reporting they never exercise or play sport, it's time to tackle the physical inactivity pandemic and move for mental health.
Show us how you're staying active during MOVE Week! Tag NowWeMOVE on Facebook and Instagram and use the hashtags #MOVEWeek and #FindYourMOVE when you post your activities on social media. Looking for ideas? Check out the Mental Health Vitamins and ABCs of Mental Health.
Act, Belong, Commit and take your Vitamins!
If you haven’t heard of Mental Health Vitamins or the ABCs of Mental Health before, MOVE Week is a perfect time to get to know these approaches to enhancing wellbeing.
Physical activity is the "Move" vitamin in the Mental Health Vitamins, which also include Rest, Feel, Eat, and Socialize. Five important daily vitamins to boost your mental wellbeing.
The ABCs of Mental Health stand for Act, Belong, and Commit. Three simple but powerful principles you can practice this week – and any time after that - by being active with your community and doing something meaningful.
If you're taking your Vitamins or practicing the ABCs this week, don’t forget to use the hashtags #MentalHealthVitamins, #ABCMentalHealth, and #MOVEWeek when you post on social media.
