In just one week, #MOVEWeek 2025 begins. This year, we’re putting the spotlight on mental health and wellbeing, so what better way to lead into MOVE Week than by marking European Mental Health Week?

With 46% of Europeans experiencing mental health challenges, there’s an urgent need to promote and support mental wellbeing. That means not only addressing challenges when they arise, but also focusing on prevention - remembering that small, everyday choices can support our mental wellbeing over time.

Recreational physical activity is without a doubt one of those good choices! It helps to lift the mood, reduce stress, and build self-esteem at any age. That’s why #MOVEWeek 2025 is dedicated to #MentalWellbeing.

Looking for inspiration on how to include a mental wellbeing focus in your activities? Check out these two simple yet effective tools: the ABCs of Mental Health and the Mental Health Vitamins.

ABCs of Mental Health: Act, Belong, Commit
Originally developed in Western Australia and now expanded across Europe, the ABCs of Mental Health encourage people to

  • Act – Stay physically, mentally and socially active
  • Belong – Connect with friends, family and your community.
  • Commit – Engage in meaningful activities

These everyday actions can significantly boost wellbeing and help build a mentally healthier society. The approach empowers individuals to take control of their mental health in a positive, practical way.

Resources are available online. When sharing on social media, remember to use the hashtags #ActBelongCommit, #ABCMentalHealth, and #MOVEWeek.

Mental Health Vitamins: Daily Doses of Wellbeing
Another great tool to support mental wellbeing is the Mental Health Vitamins – five simple reminders to: Rest, Move, Feel, Eat, and Socialise.

These “vitamins” offer a simple way to encourage healthy habits. During #MOVEWeek, let’s inspire people to take these vitamins together. They pair perfectly with the ABCs of Mental Health!

You can find a self-test, resources, and activity ideas on our website. Just click the vitamin you want to explore and get inspired!

Feel free to use the suggestions and the vitamins in your communication, but don’t forget to use the hashtags #MentalHealthVitamins and #MOVEWeek.
