The Edge, South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture’s MOVE Transfer initiative, was officially launched on 8 February at Forth Sports and Community Centre in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. The project aims to engage hard-to-reach groups (HRG) of young people between 8 – 18 years in their local communities, and give them the opportunity to participate in various activities in a fun and safe environment.

On Saturday, the young people enjoyed various activities that had been prepared for the opening night. They took part in a Meta Fit session, Club Golf and badminton and the secondary school-aged participants were also taken through a gym orientation.

Over the next few weeks the organisers will see which activities the participants are most interested in and to get their opinion on how to shape the activity programme. One activity – Spin Fit – has already been requested the organisers promise that its implementation is underway.

MOVE Transfer is supported by Coca-Cola Europe. Visit the official website here.
