ABOUT Hungarian Leisure Sport Association
"The Hungarian Leisure Sport Association (HLSA) is a non-profit NGO which is the national umbrella organisation for ""sport for all"" in Hungary. The main mission of the association is to promote grassroots sport and the message of healthy lifestyle through sport for all programs, events and campaigns. HSLA can reach all regions of Hungary since their network includes 30 member associations and more than 300 member clubs from all over the country.
Beside the organization of attractive sport for all festivals, HLSA is the national coordinator of the European Week of Sport, Challenge Day, World Walking Day programs, while the support of senior society and the nordic walking community are also key parts of the work. Communication activities about actual leisure sport opportunities are ensured through the association's online platforms and regular media appearances.
HLSA's international activity is growing by actively taking part in more and more European-wide projects."
The Mission of Hungarian Leisure Sport Association
"The main mission of HLSA is to raise the population’s body culture to a higher level, to support physical activity and body cultural needs and to raise publicity of healthy lifestyle.
We would like to inspire everyone to be physically active regardless of age, background or fitness level. Thanks to our great national network we are well-informed about the local needs of the sport for all field and we work hard to support our partners in many ways. Next to the general coordination tasks of nation-wide programs, we also organize attractive sport events where we use sport as a tool to make the participants more open for active programs and give them new impulses to activate their social lives.
The association organizes leisure sport events and programs for various segments of the society. We have a special focus on families and elderly people, however we also target municipalities, schools, workplaces, sport cummunities and individuals by our sport for all programs and campaigns."
