ABOUT Fundacja V4SPORT
"V4SPORT specializes in designing human behaviours, with the aim to get more people more active every day. The organization has a very specific focus on kids. In order to achieve this, complex programs are developed and delivered, that are based on cross sectoral partnerships, where private, public and non-governmental organizations work together to develop new ways of combating inactivity.
Over the past 10 years, a large number of national and international initiatives were implemented together with partners from more than 30 countries. Some of these initiatives involved creation of the new infrastructure (we have built over 60 healthy trails around Poland), but most of them use storytelling (based on stories we have created), involve gamification, new technologies and sometimes during the design thinking process, we change the meaning of things – in a way for example, that physical fitness test becomes a fun activity for kids, to ensure more accurate data on physical activity in the future. This in turn leads to more evidence based and data driven measures.
In order to achieve the mission to increase the number of people physically active, V4SPORT’s work is based on 5 pillars:
- Research – V4SPORT is part of the Active Healthy Kids Global Alliance, in which nearly 50 countries from around the globe use the same methodology to study the physical inactivity of kids. The common methodology allows us to compare ourselves to different countries, but moreover to seek for the most successful intervention projects.
The first and second Report Card for Poland, amongst others, was launched during the ISPAH Congress in Thailand in November 2016 and the Movement To Move World Congress in Adelaide, Australia in November 2018, respectively.
On a local/state level, research components embedded in V4SPORT projects, enables the organisation to provide unbiased data on the level of success.
- Advocacy – it is the set goal to put physical activity higher on the agenda of public, private and NGO organisations. In order to convey the appropriate message research and objective data is crucial.
- Innovative Social Campaigns – we develop and implement innovative projects and campaigns that are delivered with Partners from various countries.
- Cross sectoral cooperation – in order to tackle the inactivity crisis, it is necessary to create cross sectoral partnerships in which private, public and non-governmental organisations would develop new ways of combating inactivity.
- Capacity building – in our organisation we believe in the need of strengthening grassroots sport organisations by providing leadership, education and training as a result of which they would be able to deliver more successful projects and campaigns. V4SPORT is a member of ISCA – International Sport and Culture Association."
