"Movement education: BVLO is committed to quality movement education and wants to broaden and strengthen the competencies of teachers and movement educators. As an organizer, we offer high-quality and innovative further training and further education for our members. BVLO wants to be the poster child for quality exercise within, but also outside the school context and therefore focuses not only on PE teachers, but also on everyone who is employed in a sports pedagogical context. Future-proof physical education is what BVLO is committed to.

Trade association: As an advocate, we are committed to representing the voice of PE teachers and sports and exercise experts. We build a bridge between the government/policy makers and the specific professional field. BVLO has a whipping role with regard to the defense of sports at school, based on a holistic human development vision. BVLO sees PE and exercise under the guidance of an expert as the way to develop and stimulate knowledge, skills and attitudes that contribute to a high-quality sustainable sports and exercise climate. Within the operations of BVLO, opportunities are offered to members to engage in knowledge sharing and networking, with a view to developing responsible and sustainable exercise education. BVLO profiles itself as an open and reliable partner within the broad sports landscape and strives for constructive collaborations with relevant actors within the field based on the belief in the added value of co-creation.

Lifelong: As an innovator, BVLO provides its members with up-to-date and scientifically substantiated knowledge about an effective exercise climate through contact moments (further training and further education) and through a targeted communication strategy. BVLO uses social media and publishes a periodic trade magazine for its members. Sports and exercise in an ethical, pedagogical and sports-technical manner contributes to lifelong physical activity and health. Adopting a sustainable exercise attitude and injury-free exercise within the framework of international guidelines becomes a target, in addition to sports technical and tactical development. BVLO is committed to promoting quality exercise through training and offerings for young and old and permanent professionalization for sports and exercise experts.

Support: BVLO, together with the professional field, detects subject-specific themes that are experienced as challenging and, in close contact with its members, searches for possible solutions, which are then widely disseminated or disseminated. We strive for an optimal exchange of practical and research expertise between scientists and practitioners through contemporary communication tools and forums for knowledge exchange. BVLO acts as a knowledge center and actively focuses on collaboration with universities, colleges and other partners within the education, sports and health sectors."
